BARRISTER DGL has brought an entirely new dimension to our breeding program here at Conway Arabians, and to the breed. A striking young stallion, Barrister DGL is sixth generation of the insightful choices of the “DGL” breeding program and it is not only a privilege to own this magnificent stallion, but an incredible honor. Near 16 hands tall, the deep mahogany bay stallion checks all the boxes — type, athleticism, tractability — and a powerhouse of a pedigree — all tracing near four decades of the most predictable parentage. Sired by Prosuasion, who himself needs little introduction, BARRISTER DGL is out of Noble Blitz, a daughter of IXL Noble Express + and out of the beloved Brandi Afire – by Afire Bey V and out of the one and only Bacharah, by Barbary +++ and to *Eter. A more sophisticated pedigree you would be hard pressed to find.
What do we see in Barrister’s foals? — 2025 was his first foal crop and let’s just say our phone has not stopped. He bred mares across the country… daughters of Life Inthe Fast Lane (Vegaz), Coltrane, Afires Heir, El Ghazi, Pension, Mamage, and Baske Afire to name a few— a perfect variation of pedigrees to showcase his prowess as a breeding stallion. The foals look to be exceptional. We’re excited about the future, about this beautiful stallion, and for his undoubtedly contributions not only to our vision here at Conway Arabians but to the breed as a whole.
