The Vision Sale May 2026

Peter and Lori Conway and Jim and Mary Martha Hagale have more in common than owning andoperating two of the Arabian horse industry’s most successful performance breeding programs. Both couples were initially introduced to the breed when they indulged their children’s passions, only to be smitten themselves. Conway Arabians and Hagale Family Arabians have since won trophy rooms full of national and regional championships as they rose to the top echelon of the breed.

In 2026, the Conways and Hagales will partner on a new initiative designed to showcase their programs while stimulating fresh interest in the Arabian horse. On Tuesday, May 5, 2026, in conjunction with the Region 12 Championships, Conway Arabians and Hagale Family Arabians will host the VISION SALE, a gala event featuring a catered dinner, top-class entertainment, and an auction of some of the top prospects from their renowned breeding programs. They see it as the first of what will become an annual event, aimed at drawing new people into the breed with its combination of top-drawer acts and high-class show prospects that will be sold to the highest bidder.

Peter Conway elaborates. “Our vision is to create something good for the industry,” he enthuses. “Other breeds have developed annual auctions for prospects, and we’d like to do the same. It will be a public auction held at the same time and place every year, where people can expect to see great horses that have been fully vetted and offered for sale at fair market prices, as all lots will sell without reserve.”

The sale will provide attendees with an exciting and memorable evening headlined by a great stage act. “It’ll be an entertainer that people will relate to,” Peter continues. “For the price of admission, people will be able to socialize over a great dinner, enjoy the entertainment, and stay for the auction. We’re looking to grow it into something that enhances the stature of the Region 12 show and attracts more people to the Arabian industry.”

The Conways and Hagales are committed to putting their best young prospects—defined as aged four and under and never yet shown—in the auction, with a promise that once consigned, horses will not be sold by private treaty ahead of the sale. “Once we advertise a horse is in the auction, it will be in the auction,” avers Peter. “They’re going to go with no reserves, straight up. They’ll sell for what they sell for, and the market will decide that.”

On February 1, 2026, they anticipate announcing the sales list, which will feature exceptional young horses from their two programs. Other breeders may offer additional high-class consignments that are the offspring of Conway and Hagale stallions. “We wish to up the visibility of our breeding programs,” Peter explains. “We’re both doing a fantastic job and are standing great stallions. We want the horses we consign to represent our programs well, and they will be among our very best. It will stimulate people to visit our farms to see what other prospects we may have available.”

While still in the planning stages, the inaugural Conway/Hagale VISION SALE is already creating a buzz. “It’s another way to celebrate the Arabian horse in a community setting,” says Peter. “Everyone can come together for some great entertainment, socialize, participate in the auction or not, but see some great prospects sold, and help elevate the Region 12 experience.”
